Officers made the grim discovery at Braxfield Terrace ,in the South Lanarkshire town at 10pm, on Wednesday, October 4. Emergency services were called but the unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Wednesday, October 4, police were called to an address in Braxfield Terrace, Lanark.“The death is currently being treated as suspicious and the investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing. Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
