The facility is located in Southampton in Burlington County.
A man who coaches at a Burlington County cheerleading facility was charged Thursday with sexually several of his minor students, authorities said.
In August 2022, detectives from the New Jersey State Police, Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Medford Township Police Department began investigating explicit content that Jonathan P. Ryker, 25, of Hammonton, allegedly sent to a minor via social media, according to a release from the State Police.
During the eight month investigation, detectives identified another alleged victim of Ryker who was also a student at, a competitive cheerleading and tumbling facility in Southampton, where Ryker coached, police said. Ryker was charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal sexual contact. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail pending a detention hearing, officials said.
