Officers are urging the dog owner to come forward, after the victim suffered 'nasty' injuries during the incident in Strelley
Police are appealing for information after a man suffered serious injuries when he was bitten by a dog as he walked into a pub. The victim was attacked as he approached the entrance to the Broad Oak Inn, Main Street, Strelley.
A child shouted to grab his attention and as the victim approached the outside table the dog mauled him. The victim spent a week in hospital and was left with wounds to his legs and torso following the incident, which took place at around 5.50pm on July 15, 2023. Officers investigating the attack have now released a CCTV image and urgently want to speak to the people pictured who could hold vital information about exactly what happened. Police Constable Gerard Masaoy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim suffered nasty injuries in this attack and we clearly don’t want this dog attacking anyone else.
Anyone with any information about the attack should call police on 101, quoting incident number 569 of July 15, 2023, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
