Dalot, though, now looks close to extending his stay at Old Trafford after proving himself as a key man under Erik ten Hag. The 23-year-old Portugal international has started 23 games for United this term and established himself as the club’s first choice right-back, jumping above Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order.Real Madrid and Barcelona are aps0 monitoring the situation, but speaking in January, Dalot admitted he was happy in Manchester.
He said: “We are in a position to say that we are negotiating and seeing how both parties will benefit.“I love this club and I love to play for this club. Progressively we are in a good direction as a team.“For me, this is the most important part and hopefully individually I can continue to help the team as I am doing.”
