Manchester United have switched their attention to Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon amid doubts over a loan deal for Marc Cucurella.
Because Cucurella has already played for Chelsea this season, he cannot be transferred to a third club in a season. Cucurella, 25, joined Chelsea from Brighton for £62million last year but is out of favour under new coach Mauricio Pochettino, who prefers Ben Chilwell at left wing-back. Cucurella is contracted to Chelsea until 2028 while Reguilon is tied to Spurs until 2025. United want a specialist left-back who is on the market.
