Radamel Falcao had a host of clubs chasing his signature in the summer of 2014 - but his father, Radamel Garcia, has revealed that the Colombian striker only had eyes for Manchester United
Radamel Falcao turned down offers from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City to sign for Manchester United in 2014.
Louis van Gaal's United ultimately secured his signature, bringing him on board initially on loan with an option to make the move permanent for a reported £43.5 million a deal that saw him snub other European titans and Premier League heavyweights. Days before Falcao completed his move to Old Trafford, he sparked speculation with a tweet stating: 'Hala Madrid.' Despite being a favourite at Real Madrid's city rivals Atletico, it appeared Falcao was angling for a move back to the Spanish capital, this time to don the white of Los Blancos.
"It didn't happen because, as I said, they decided to buy the trousers and the shirt they wanted, and they considered what was better for them, and you have to accept that because they are the ones who pay the money. Thank God, everything happened with Manchester United."
