Manchester United have turned down a proposed clause in a deal to offload Mason Greenwood, reports claim.
Following an internal review concluding that he would not remain at Old Trafford after charges were dropped, he spent last season on loan at Getafe inLazio also agreed to including a sell-on clause which would see United pocket 50 per cent of any future transfer fee.Lazio want a replacement for Felipe Anderson, who is returning to his native Brazil with Palmeiras after his deal expired.
They view Greenwood as a top target but may well have to pay a record transfer fee under owner Claudio Lotito.The club value the Greek shostopper at €20 million, though United aren't too sure that it is a fair valuation.had opened the door to a "fresh decision" involving Greenwood after his 25 per cent stake was confirmed, but everything point towards him moving on.
