A man wanted in a deadly 2020 shooting in Fort Worth was arrested after crossing the border from Mexico into Texas last week.
Jesus Javier Rios, 47, was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at a port of entry in El Paso after using someone else’s Texas ID to cross, the agency said in a news release.After Rios was fingerprinted, law enforcement learned his real identity and that there was an active warrant for his arrest out of Tarrant County. He also had warrants out of Ector and Coconino counties.He was extradited to Tarrant County on Tuesday, jail records show.
