He has been found
A man who made off from the police by jumping into the River Ribble at Walton-le-Dale has now been found.
A major search was launched when Daniel Godkin, 30, jumped into the river when police attended his address to speak to him about an ongoing investing. A search including police, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service was carried out and now it has been confirmed he has been found.
A spokesperson for Lancs Police on Twitter said: "Police Search Adviser deployed to assist @PrestonPolice with a high risk missing person search, co-ordinating resources from @BPMRT @NWPoliceDivers @NPASNorthWest @HMCoastguard @LythamRNLI. Located and treated by @NWAmbulance." A previous police appeal read: "Some of you may have seen a lot of police activity on London Road in Walton le Dale earlier this morning and we wanted to let you know what has been happening.
"At shortly before 7am today we attended an address on Edward Street in Walton le Dale to make enquiries in connection with an ongoing investigation.READ NEXT:
