Manchester Airport has issued a statement after footage emerged showing a man being kicked in the head by an officer. Greater Manchester Police confirmed an officer has been suspended from all duties after a video which was shared widely on social media showed a man being kicked and stamped on as he lay on the floor at Manchester Airport .
A spokesperson said: 'Following the police incident in a car park at Manchester Airport on Tuesday night, we want to reassure all our colleagues, customers and the communities we serve that we share their concerns about the footage that has emerged. While this incident is now the subject of an Independent Office for Police Conduct investigation, we are in close contact with Greater Manchester Police at the highest level and have asked to be kept updated at all stages.
