One of Manchester United's greatest-ever footballers Sir Bobby Charlton has died, his family have confirmed.
The family of Sir Bobby Charlton have confirmed that the Manchester United legend has died at the age of 86.
Charlton remained a prominent figure even after his retirement and took up a role as a club director in 1984, a position he held for nearly 40 years. They said: “Manchester United are in mourning following the passing of Sir Bobby Charlton, one of the greatest and most beloved players in the history of our club.
