Erik ten Hag's squad will travel to Norway for their first clash of the preseason against Eliteserien side Rosenborg BK
Manchester United are set to take on Rosenborg BK this afternoon in the first of their pre-season friendlies as manager Erik ten Hag looks to prove himself worthy of the Old Trafford hotseat ahead of his third campaign with the club.
Now he's looking to improve on their eighth-place finish in the Premier League last season, and the first step will be to hit the ground running against their Norwegian opponents tonight. However, Ten Hag will be without a number of key stars who are still working on their fitness back at Carrington.
Sancho recently returned to first-team training for the first time since his exile by Ten Hag last September after positive talks with the United boss last week, but the 24-year-old was omitted from the 25-man travelling party, the majority of which were announced to be youth stars with Jonny Evans, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mason Mount, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford the five senior team stars with the squad.
