Manchester United icon Dwight Yorke has issued a stark warning to Marcus Rashford about his slow start to the season.
His slow start follows an arduous campaign on and off the pitch last season, which saw him only record seven goals and three assists across 33 Premier League games for Erik ten Hag's side. After watching him play, the Treble winner warned Rashford that he will have to dig deep and not wait for inspiration.
"You can bring in the best coaches around him, but he has to have that burning desire to get himself back. We know he has all the talent and all the ability."But if he is not prepared to put that effort in and really bring himself back from his poorest season last year, he is not going to get back to that level. He has to want to do it.
Rashford is being supported by new assistant manager and club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who is understood to be carrying out extra sessions with the striker. Yet, Premier League legend Alan Shearer thinks Rashford will need a lot more than some extra sessions to get back to his best.
