Maritime tenant lands at East River on the Buffalo Bayou waterfront as Phase I launches
East River, the 150-acre mixed-use development going up along the banks of Buffalo Bayou near downtown, has landed a headquarters tenant with a history in the shipping industry.
“We are right on target for debuting this transformational project in the fall as we close out building construction and move into the next stage of tenant buildouts,” Anna Deans, vice president of investment and development for Midway said in an announcement. The Kastle Systems' Back to Work Barometer, which tracks building access activity across 10 large cities, fell by 2.8 percentage points to 47.3 percent on March 15. Austin fell by more than 10 percentage points to 55.5 percent. Security technology company Kastle Systems attributed the drop in office attendance to the South by Southwest Festival taking place downtown. Office use across California declined because of bad weather.
Houston’s drop in prices was marked the greatest dollar drop among Texas cities. The average sales price in Dallas was down by $8,040 to $493,722, while Austin's fell by $5,500 to $518,407 and San Antonio was down $5,590 to $387,724.
