Mars CEO explains how the pandemic is transforming the $35 billion snacking and pet care company, from offices to factory floors

CEO Grant Reid told Business Insider that his company has been impacted by the pandemic in multiple categories, from pet care to snacking.

"Everything ... from in the factory all the way through to e-commerce and everything in between, is radically different from when I started," Mars CEO Grant Reid told Business Insider in a sit-down interview in October. Reid, who took over the top spot at Mars in 2014, has helped spearhead the transformation of the $35 billion company.

"These past few months have been unlike any we've experienced and there is no doubt that it has upended the way almost every Mars associate works," Reid said, adding that the changes occurring in Mars' workplace are likely to outlive the pandemic. As such, Mars has made a concerted effort to push deeper into the digital sector in the last few months.
