People need to fill in a form to keep receiving their money
Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert site has sounded the alarm for Child Benefit recipients, urging immediate action to prevent a halt in their payments. The benefit, which aids thousands parents with the expenses of raising children, offers £25.60 weekly for the eldest or only child and £16.95 per additional child.
Parents or guardians with children under 16 are eligible for the payments, but they can continue to receive them until the child turns 20, provided the child is still in education or training. This year, between 24 May and 17 July, HM Revenue and Customs dispatched over 1.4 million reconfirmation letters for Child Benefit, featuring a QR code that links directly to the GOV. UK website, allowing parents to update their claims online.
Typically, one needs to have made 35 years' worth of National Insurance contributions to receive the new full state pension, presently at £221.20 per week.
