Martin Lewis has hit out at the 'unfair' Child Benefit rules that campaigners say leave single parents out of pocket.

Martin Lewis has issued a warning to single parent families and said it's not good news. The Money Saving Expert has spoken out about Labour 'failing' to reform Child Benefit rules.

This equates to 1% for every £200 of income that exceeds £60,000. So if you earn £70,000 a year, you'll pay back 50% of your Child Benefit. One parent told Martin Lewis: 'I'm a sole income of 60k+ and I have to pay tax on my child benefits. Next door earn 85k across two incomes and don’t pay tax. How is this fair?'She said: 'So unfair in the Budget. They have still kept it that if one parent is earning over £80,000 then they get nothing.
