The amount on offer differs around the country
As schools prepare to reopen their doors, UK parents are being reminded to check their eligibility for grants that could potentially fund up to £200 towards school uniforms. MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis has shone a light on the availability of these school uniform grants, provided by local councils nationwide.
'I'd urge all parents to check what support is on offer in their local area, as the deadlines for applications are fast approaching.' Across the rest of the UK, uniform grants are more uniform. In Scotland, all councils provide at least £120 for primary pupils and £160 for secondary students, while in Wales, the amounts are set at £125 and £210 respectively.
