Marvel is revealing the identity of Weapon VIII, as Weapon X's biggest success story goes up against Wolverine in a vicious fight for supremacy.
Marvel is introducing a new project of the Weapon Plus program in Weapon VIII - a spider-themed hero who was the successful experiment before Wolverine's Weapon X. In Marvel lore, Weapon Plus is a shadowy government program to create living weapons. While Wolverine is the most successful result, he was part of the tenth set of experiments carried out by Weapon Plus, with significantly less known about prior iterations.
