In the wake of its free-to-play 4x XP weekend, Marvel’s Avengers is kicking off a month-long event that will encompass the launch of War for Wakanda next week.
Past that, the change to exotic farming is step one in a very obvious two step process in making exotics farmable at the very least, once per character per week, rather than once per account. This is a game with eight, about to be nine heroes, and you can only farm these exotic-giving missions for guaranteed rewards a single time per week. Gearing up multiple characters can feel impossible. I suppose under this current 3x system, you can farm more gear for a single character.
There is simply no reason not to do this. Avengers is running into the Outriders problem of being way too stingy with gear for quite literally no reason. It took Outriders about three months to straight up double its legendary drop rates and implement dupe protection, but Avengers, after a year, has changed practically nothing about farming, and we have to have a special event to come even close to where the system should be on a normal basis.
I will beat this drum until it changes, as trust me, I want more reasons to play this game. But to run a couple missions and wait for reset is not a good system, and this needed to be changed like 11 months ago.
