This unique team, consisting of animal companions of some of Marvel’s most iconic heroes, starts on a brand-new adventure in Marvel Unleashed #1, which is set to involve both AIM and Kraven the Hunter. Along the way, the team meets D-Dog, whose bright and promising future in the Marvel Universe comes with a heartbreaking backstory.
D-Dog's Inspiration Is Widely Considered One Of Marvel's "Worst Heroes" After an opening sequence in Central Park, in which Kraven the Hunter overpowers Lockjaw, the action in Marvel Unleashed #1 shifts to Lucky the Pizza Dog. While scrounging for food, Lucky meets a poodle named Juniper. Accompanying Juniper is D-Dog. Juniper’s human has gone missing and D-Dog has brought her to Lucky for help. On their way to Avengers Mansion, D-Dog recounts her origin story.
