'The same Democratic Party that thinks it is imperative to pump children full of hormones and puberty blockers also thinks that young adults should be let off the hook for various crimes,' ZacharyFaria writes.
A Maryland bill would prevent anyone from being charged with felony murder if they are under the age of 25. Criminals are charged with felony murder if someone is killed during the commission of a felony — for example, if a bank robber runs over a pedestrian while escaping the scene. In that example, the getaway driver and the other robbers in the car would be charged with felony murder and face life in prison.
Whether or not this is an example of a loony legislator introducing a bill that has no chance of passing, we do know that this idea has pull within the administration of Democratic Gov. Wes Moore. Moore’s choice to run the Juvenile Justice Service, Vincent Schiraldi, believes that no one under the age of 21 should be tried as an adult or held in adult prison facilities. He has even entertained the idea of bumping that number up to 23 and even 25 years old.
The mental disconnect between these two positions is delusional and dangerous, both for the children mutilated in the name of transgenderism and the people who will be killed because 21-year-old criminals know they will get away with it. It's enough to make you wonder whether Maryland legislators' brains are fully developed.
