Mason Greenwood took to social media after scoring the winner for Marseille to strengthen their position in second place in Ligue 1
Jadon Sancho and two former Manchester United stars have sent their support to Mason Greenwood after he scored the winner in Marseille's 2-0 victory over St Etienne.
The 23-year-old hasn't played for United since January 2022 after being arrested. Charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February 2023 when key witnesses withdrew their cooperation. Despite his time at Old Trafford coming to an end two years ago, it appears the forward still holds some friendships with players who represented United. Celebrating the win on Instagram, Greenwood posted a series of pictures from the game and wrote: "1 goal, 3 points," followed by a tick emoji.
