A news report revealed that Pa. gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano posed in a Confederate uniform while at the Army War College.
The photo, taken in 2014, shows Mastriano, in what appears to be a grey uniform of the Confederacy, with a group of other faculty members in the Department of Military Strategy, Plans and Operations, some of whom are in costume, but no others were Civil War-related.
The War College told Reuters it has since removed the image from display because it does not meet War College “values.” A U.S. Army spokesperson told Reuters: “The Army supports commanders who remove symbols or images that do not comport with Army values.”
