Un policía de Kosovo murió y otro resultó herido en un ataque que el primer ministro del país describió como respaldado por la vecina Serbia, lo que podría aumentar las tensiones en un momento delicado de las conversaciones auspiciadas por la Unión Europea para normalizar las relaciones entre los dos viejos enemigos de guerra.
“El crimen organizado, que está respaldado de forma política, financiera y logística desde Belgrado, está atacando nuestro estado”, escribió Kurti en su página de Facebook.“El gobierno de la República de Kosovo y sus instituciones estatales están listas y coordinadas para responder al crimen y a los criminales, al terrorismo y a los terroristas”, afirmó.
Una reunión facilitada este mes por la UE en Bruselas entre Kurti y el presidente de Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, terminó con acritud.
