Matt Willis has been married to TV presenter Emma Willis for 15 years and the couple share three children together, but their relationship hasn't always been easy
Matt and Emma Willis are back on our screens together as they host Netflix's Love Is Blind UK. The couple also appeared in ITV 's Cooking with the Stars where Matt made an appearance in the show hosted by his wife.
The spark between them ignited into a romance in 2005, although Matt was already struggling with cocaine addiction, rooted in Busted's heyday around 2002. "He went really quiet and I actually thought he was going to finish with me. Then we got to the Rialto Bridge and we got to the top and he looked at me and he pulled this box out of his pocket and he went to kind of drop on one knee and I just went, 'Don't you dare' and grabbed him."
"They've never known me to drink, but they've noticed I don't do it and I've been very open about why I don't, so it's not really a big deal to them." At the time, their youngest child, Trixie, was only 10 months old. Reflecting on the situation, Emma expressed to OK! Magazine, "You kind of kick yourself a bit on reflection, because you're like how the f**k didn't I see that,".
Matt has since expressed his amazement that she remained with him, acknowledging he was a "mastermind at gaslighting" while concealing his struggles. He revealed there were times when he thought their relationship was over, but they never actually broke up. Still mulling over the conversation a week later, he bought several Scientology books and found himself at the Scientology centre.
