The Hoops star has been the subject of speculation in January with interest likely to resurface over the summer.
The Hoops star was the subject of big transfer interest during the January transfer window with Atletico Madrid having a bid booted out as the Parkhead side wanted more money, with the La Liga cracks looking to sign the 23-year-old on a loan with an £18million obligation to buy. The Hoops, however, were seeking a fee of £25m.
Brendan Rodgers was delighted to keep his key man in the building. He's under a long-term contract at Parkhead but speculation is likely to kick into gear one more this summer as the midfielder continues to improve his game week to week. O'Riley - nominated for the PFA Scotland Scottish Premiership Player of the Year award - has netted 14 times this season with a huge final run-in to come.
The 23-year-old insists all his focus is on the crucial final fixtures as Rodgers and Co bid to finish this hugely important period with two more trophies in the cabinet. O'Riley is aware of the magnitude of the task at hand and has put any chatter over anything else to one side. Speaking to Sky Sports Scotland over the speculation during January, and asked if he has told those in his circle to keep all talk over his future and speculation sidelined until the end of the season, he said: "Yeah I have to be fair. I have said that to my parents, of course agents and even people within the club. People naturally want to talk about stuff like that but I think it is a big distraction when I have got a job to do here.
"It was mainly just a case of where my attention was to be honest. When the noise is there, if your attention is on that then naturally when you are on the pitch it is going to be in the back of your head. I addressed that, spoke to one of the coaches I work with outside of football and we really just focused on coming back to basics and it helped a lot."
