Both players thanked fans for their support. Trea Turner referred to the Dodgers’ early exit from the playoffs as a “tough ending to a special year.”
Max Muncy and Trea Turner are the latest Dodgers to thank fans for their support — despite the team’s disappointing finish — with posts on social media.
Justin Turner, Brusdar Graterol and Yency Almonte previously posted to Instagram and/or Twitter with messages for Dodgers fans. Muncy referred to the Dodgers’ fan base as “the best there is” and thanked them for their support both at home and road games. More personally, he referred to the difficult season he had, returning from a serious elbow injury at the end of the 2021 season.
“ for having my back while I grinded through the most frustrating season of my career,” Muncy wrote. “We gave you all we had to make the regular season the best this great organization has ever seen, and it was truly an honor to be a part of that. “We should be preparing for Game 1 … at the Ravine, but we stumbled on our own feet. We are just as frustrated as all of you, at the end of the day we needed to be better. Don’t worry we will be back!”
