It comes as Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan is locked in a legal battle with Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg over his prosecution of former President Donald Trump. elijahwestbrook reports.
If they want to do some REAL work fighting crime, the safest big city in America is here to help.Monday's hearing is called"Victims of Violent Crime in Manhattan," where more than seven witnesses testified in front of Congress about their experiences with crime, pointing the finger at Bragg, saying these incidents are happening under his watch.
"He dismissed, completely dismissed, gang assault and murder indictments against two of the defendants clearly participating in the brutal, savage slaughter of my son," said Madeline Brame, chairwoman of the Victim Rights Reform Council. Trump's indictment led to a back-and-forth between Bragg and Jordan. In fact, Bragg ended up suing Jordan and the GOP House Judiciary Committee for interfering in his office's investigation last week.
