4 bizarre and shocking details from McDonald's lawsuit alleging its ex-CEO lied about sexual relationships with employees

alleges that ex-CEO Steve Easterbrook

In a year filled with drama at McDonald's, Monday's filing has plenty of bizarre details. Here are four of the most shocking allegations and intricacies in the complaint. Easterbrook had been forced out of McDonald's after an investigation into Easterbrook's relationship with an employee. The employee told an independent outside counsel that the relationship was consensual and not physical.

Easterbrook likely would have continued to cash in on his multi-million dollar payout if it wasn't for an anonymous report McDonald's received in July 2020. The tip alleged that Easterbrook engaged in a sexual relationship with an employee — a different woman than involved in the first investigation.

"That evidence consisted of dozens of nude, partially nude, or sexually explicit photographs and videos of various women, including photographs of these Company employees, that Easterbrook had sent as attachments to messages from his Company e-mail account to his personal e-mail account," Monday's filing states. The then-CEO approved an extraordinary stock grant to one of the women featured in the explicit photos, according to the lawsuit.
