AN AFGHAN taekwondo star who fled the Taliban and lived in a refugee camp will fight at the Paris Olympics – thanks to head-kicking craftsmanship honed in Manchester.The taekwondo star was a joint flag bearer with Kimia Yousofi for Afghanistan at Tokyo 2020, but has since fled the TalibanThat is because he has been displaced from his homeland ever since a coup of the government in capital Kabul in 2021.
“I did my running and skipping for my body. The only problem was I couldn’t compete for eight months.
