No one has won the Mega Millions jackpot since mid-April, 29 drawings ago.
No one hit the $830 million jackpot on Tuesday, though a— one in Point Pleasant and one in Tenafly. They were among nine second-prize tickets bought nationwide to match five numbers but not the Powerball.
Friday’s drawing will be the 30th since the last time the jackpot was last hit. A $20 million jackpot-winning ticket was bought in Tennessee for the April 15 drawing. The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
