How major that this woman is handling the difficulty of being human and alive, let aloneand alive. She is naming her pain, articulating the depth and insidiousness of it in her art. She is insistent upon her humanity, which is far bigger and more complex than her nails and her ass and the “Her” and “WAP” videos. She is sharing resources for help, and publicly prioritizing her right to help herself by stepping away from the madness of a mad world when she needs a break.
It’s not like we aren’t all running on two percent right now. The poor Please Don’t Destroy guys popped up with purple bags under their eyes and ground-up teeth. They’re trying to focus more on wellness and getting in shape, but it doesn’t seem to be going very well. Ben wants to cut back on his screen time so he’s down to 23 ½ hours a day. John is trying intermittent sleeping, in which he doesn’t sleep on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
