Three staff members were left shaken by the ordeal
Two men allegedly armed with a hammer and a knife in a reported robbery in South Belfast have been arrested.
It's alleged they demanded money and cigarettes from staff, with police arriving outside the premises while the two men were still inside.A PSNI spokesperson said: "A report was received at around 9.40pm on Tuesday evening that two men, dressed in black clothing and armed with a hammer and a knife, had entered the shop and ordered members of staff to hand over money and cigarettes.
"The men, aged 38 and 41, have been arrested on suspicion of Robbery and Possession of an Offensive Weapon with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence and both remain in custody assisting with police enquiries. Detectives would ask anyone with any information which could assist them with their enquiries to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 2070 08/11/22.
