More dry weather is to come across Yorkshire following heavy rain across the region
The Met Office has said rain clouds across the north will begin to move south as sunny spells emerge across the region. Throughout the week, the sun will emerge and the weather will steadily become drier.
From Wednesday to Friday, there will be more sunny spells although there may be some showers in more eastern areas.For this period, the Met Office said: "Western areas largely dry over the coming days with sunny spells. Sunshine and showers in eastern areas. Pleasant in the sunshine, chilly around coastal areas at times with brisk winds."
Between April 27 and May 6, there may be more rain, but some parts will remain dry. They said: "An uncertain start to the period though likely unsettled as a frontal system pushes into southern areas and possibly across the UK through the weekend.
"Onshore winds along eastern coasts will likely make it feel rather cold at times, though for all parts temperatures will likely trend back toward average. Into early May, something of a north-south split looks possible, with relatively drier conditions further to the north and the greatest chance of rain further to the south."
