Wintry showers are forecast in some parts of the UK from this weekend
The Met Office has issued a number of snow and ice warnings ahead of a cold blast hitting parts of the UK this weekend. Temperatures are set to plummet to freezing in some parts of the country from this Sunday as cold Arctic air sweeps over. Forecasters have warned there will be a 'major change' in conditions , with an 'early winter cold spell' and some 'disruptive' conditions.
Met Office snow map shows where it will fall in UK this weekend amid 'major change' Another yellow snow and ice warning has been issued to come into place at 10am on Monday. This will last until 10am next Tuesday and covers parts of the north west of England including parts of Cumbria and Lancashire. It also covers part of West Yorkshire, close to the Greater Manchester border and over the Pennines.
