Up to 30mm of rain could fall in just a few hours bringing a risk of flooding and travel disruption
The Met Office has issued a THIRD weather warning for Lancashire with torrential rain set to batter the region today.
The worst of the weather in Lancashire is forecast between 3pm and 4pm, with precipitation maps from the Met Office showing 'red' indicating upwards of 30mm per hour in some places. In these areas, the Met Office says people should expect 'heavy rain leading to a chance of some flooding and travel disruption'.
A third Met Office weather warning to hit Lancashire for both rain and wind comes into force at 3pm on Friday , lasting until 6am on Sunday . The Met Office said there is a 'small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris'.
