A yellow weather warning for snow and ice remains in place
Snow fell across Merseyside overnight following a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office. Blankets of snow formed on cars, houses and roads through the night. And while the heavy wintry showers may have stopped there remains a warning for snow and ice in place until 11am today, November 19. The weather warning covers many Merseyside areas, including Liverpool and parts of Wirral , St Helens , Sefton and Knowsley .
The weather agency said tomorrow, November 20 will be cold and crisp with plenty of sunny spells, though it will feel chilly in a breezy northerly wind. It will be mainly dry with the odd wintry shower filtering into the west overnight. There will be maximum temperature 6 °C .
