Meta fixed a Facebook bug that sent automatic friend requests to users
Meta has patched a Facebook bug that saw the social network send automatic friend requests when users would visit any profile. In a statement the company shared withon Friday, Meta apologized for the glitch.
“We fixed a bug related to a recent app update that caused some Facebook friend requests to be sent mistakenly,” a Meta spokesperson told the outlet. “We’ve stopped this from happening and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
