The Mets announced Wednesday that left-handed pitcher David Peterson underwent surgery to repair the labrum in his left hip at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, and the return timetable for the procedure is usually six to seven months.The 28-year-old has mostly been a starter for the Mets but had a rough 2023 season, finishing with a 5.03 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 111 innings across 21 starts and six relief appearances.
