The bank has announced a new round of payments
The major bank has announced a new round of payments through its Fairer Share scheme. Around 3.9 million customers are eligible for the payments, which will arrive next month.
To qualify for the payment, your current account must have been opened on or before March 31, 2024. You also need to have a qualifying current account, plus a mortgage or savings account with Nationwide.READ NEXT: George at Asda's £14 'lightweight' jacket for 'warm days with showers' Customers who are eligible can expect to receive the payment between June 13 and June 28, 2024. The bank confirmed it will be contacting eligible customers by May 3
It is the second lot of payments Nationwide has made through its Fairer Share scheme. According to Mirror Online, it comes after Nationwide revealed lower earnings over the past year, with statutory pre-tax profit of £1.8billion for the year to April 4. This is down from the £2.2billion reported this time last year - but the lender said this was largely due the £344million handed out through Fairer Share in 2023.
