The Government has been warned that proposed changes to health and disability benefits could see people with complex or invisible conditions out of pocket if not implemented correctly
given ministers intend to begin the legislative process within the coming year.
The Government announced the changes to coincide with a ramping up of benefit sanctions for those out of work who ministers believe should be making more of an effort to move into employment. But the Government has insisted that it extensively consider how the changes could be implemented to ensure this does not happen, and to financially protect those who may be moving onto a different benefit.
