She and Will Garriga were married last Saturday at the hotel on U.S. 90 on the Biloxi beachfront.
Garriga won the Miss Mississippi USA crown in 2021. The native of Hurley, Miss., graduated from East Central High School in Jackson County, Miss., and the University of West Alabama.Her participation in the Miss USA pageant allowed Garriga to form friendships with other contestants, including Kim Greenwood, Lee Greenwood’s wife who is a former Miss Tennessee USA and current director of the Miss Georgia USA, Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Mississippi USA pageants.
In addition to Lee Greenwood performing his theme song at the reception, the Garrigas’ wedding featured 17 bridesmaids, including numerous pageant royalty: Miss Rhode Island USA, Miss Tennessee USA, Miss Maryland USA, Miss South Carolina USA and two former Miss Mississippi Teen USA winners.
