Helping the Great Salt Lake, by picking one piece of trash at a time. On Saturday, over 100 volunteers came together to clean the shores of the Great Salt Lake for International Coastal Clean-up Day.
On Saturday, over 100 volunteers came together to clean the shores of the Great Salt Lake for International Coastal Clean-up Day.Pandit and Eric Lu with Salt Lake County Youth Government volunteered to help pick up trash at the lake.“It just takes a little bit,” said Karla Gunnell.
“We can keep continuing to do this, every little bit matters, and we can make a difference,” she said. The day was all about people who love the Great Salt Lake coming together to make it a better and safer place for the shorebirds that call this area their home, and for people as well.
