Morecambe is preparing to be taken over by a massive four-day festival. A whopping 38 venues will host a range of live music performances across the weekend for the annual Morecambe Music Festival, from July 6 to 9.
Former X Factor star Paul Akister is also on the bill and will play Johnny's Bar on the Saturday. This is the sixth year of the event and is has gradually grown in size, making its debut with just 12 live acts. Venues range from cafes, bars, markets, pubs and hotels including the iconic art deco Midland Hotel. While there's also the more unusual in the mix, such as Morecambe RNLI Hovercraft Station and seafront takeaway The Clock Tower.
You can find a full line-up rundown for every here, with a selection of venues hosting live music for all four-days. Some venues are not suitable for young children, while Stuart recommends venues such as Miogelato ice cream parlour and The Midland Hotel as the more family-friendly options.
