Gladys Sicknick, mother of Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick who died after the Capitol riot, refused to shake hands with Republicans Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy during a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony honoring Jan. 6 police.
In the video from Tuesday's awards, Sicknick is seen shaking hands with Democratic Senatorand receiving a kiss on the cheek from him before bypassing McConnell and McCarthy, who were both holding plaques.
