New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the MTV Video Music Awards will be allowed to take place in Brooklyn this August.Video Music Awards will take place at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on August 30th, according to an announcement from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo confirmed the show at a press conference Monday as New York State, and specifically New York City, continued its COVID-19 re-opening plan. Cuomo didn’t go into detail about the show, although a message accompanying his announcement said that all safety measures will be followed, “including limiting or no audience.”
