Talour Greenwood asked doctors 'am I going to lose him'
When Talour Greenwood, 26, and her partner, Ryan Sigley, 28, went for a check-up when she was 32 weeks pregnant, a student nurse measured her bump and told her she was "measuring big". But when the mum from Tameside went back for a further appointment, she was told her baby hadn't grown for four weeks, and they thought something could be wrong with his stomach.
On November 13 baby Thèo-Ben was transferred to Alder Hey Children's Hospital and the newborn underwent his first heart surgery at just four days old, with the procedure lasting nine and a half hours. Following the operation Thèo-Ben was in between the ICU and high dependency unit while they tried to stabilise him. He then had his second open heart surgery at six months old and was finally allowed home two months later to spend time with his step-brothers Archèy - Ryan, 7, and Freddèy-Aaron, 5.
"We had days in the park and he loved being in his pram and looking at the trees. We went back in for a check up on September 1 and the doctors told us he was a very poorly baby and the pressures in his heart and lungs had gone up."
