Court filings allege the man suspected of killing a pregnant woman in downtown Seattle approached her car and started shooting into it at random.
The suspect is being held in jail on charges of murder, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. Prosecutors on Wednesday indicated they are still reviewing the case and may file formal charges in the next few days.
Seattle police detectives said there was no interaction between Kwon and the suspect prior to him approaching the car and firing his gun into the driver’s side window. Kwon, who was 32 weeks pregnant, was rushed to the hospital where she died. Her baby was delivered and initially survived, but later died in the hospital as well. An autopsy found Kwon had been shot four times, according to the report.
