My brother did this once or twice. Couldn’t be more masculine on the inside throughout his life though, and now an incredibly smart and driven engineer, dedicated husband to my SIL and his two very masculine oriented boys who think the fact that he mucked around like that with Grandma’s stuff as a nipper is hilarious!
The fact that she was so hoping for a girl could also colour one’s perspective on this. Without that bit of information, imagining it’s just like my brother for argument’s sake, would you feel the same level of concern do you think?
